Top 10 reasons why people
DO NOT
have their food storage...
10. My neighbors have a TWO year supply!
No they don't! Did you know that 85% of the members of the church don't have food storage at all?
9. I've paid tithing for many years...the church can give me a little food.
The church has been asking YOU to store food for over 75 years. They are NOT storing food for you!
8. I'm moving in with my children / parents!
Points out that most members don't have a year's supply, since they plan to eat someone elses food. Not a good plan.
7. I have a years supply, and the bullets to go with it!
I gaurantee, if you were watching your children starve to death, you would do anything you had to do to keep them alive. If you don't have a years supply, you are putting yourself in danger of losing not only your temporal salvation, but your spiritual salvation as well.
6. The boat and the 4 wheelers are taking up all my storage space!
Priorities!!
5. ...Y2K.
There always making way too much out of everything! (Every prophecy that has ever been given, WILL happen).
4. If anything DOES happen, the government will be here within hours!
No they wont! Just talk to someone who has been through a major disater, or someone who has lost their job or been out of work due to an illness or accident. Ask them how the goverment put food in their pantry or made their mortgage payments. Another bad plan.
3. I can't afford..(insert latest hobby) AND food storage.
How much do you pay for your cell phone each month, or the movies or the drive thru each day for a meal. Add that up. Bet you could find a way to shave a few dollars a week to buy a few extra can goods each trip to the store. It adds up fast.
2. I am waiting for the cannery to sell Papa John's dehydrated pizza.
Food storage isn't just wheat, beans and powder milk. It's whatever you like or eat each day. Figure out what you enjoy eating then store all of the ingredients to make those meals.
And the #1 reason I don't have my year's supply of food?
A year?? I thought it was 72 hours!!
